Today we follow Gen. Patton's route south towards Avaranches, and pay
a visit to the monument erected in his honour and pass by the bridge, over which
his 3rd Army took three days to cross.
An optional visit to Le Mont St Michel may be included. After lunch we pay a visit to the second American Cemetery at St. James. St James is much quieter than the Normandy Cemetery and is a very peaceful place. |
